"My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest"
Isaiah 32:18
THE NEED
Typically, a poor Haitian family will rent a small room for as little as $300 to $500 per year, paid annually. As many only earn twice that, this expense will require much or even most of their income, paid all at once! Therefore, it is common for a family to be put out onto the streets when they are unable to come up with such a large amount.
By constructing new homes built to last for decades, Mercy International can offer families a stable and secure living environment. This is advantageous not only for its immediate security but also because it eliminates the annual rent expense. As a result, families experience a significant increase in disposable income, essentially doubling their available funds. This newfound financial freedom allows families to afford better food, and even invest in education for their children, thus improving their overall quality of life.
We have developed vibrant, thriving, Christ-centered villages in Haiti while remembering to share the Good News, and glorify Christ!
Today, our Haitian villages and communities, are equipped with churches and pastors, feeding programs for the malnourished, and medical clinics that are staffed by dedicated doctors, nurses, and support personnel.
BUILD HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS

Having an education and a strong relationship with God is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. At Mercy International, we're committed to providing quality education to the children of Haiti.
Through your support, we empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to overcome adversity and thrive. Many of our graduates become the doctors, nurses, and professionals who make a difference in their communities.
To support the Education Program, you may give a general donation towards the Education Program, or you may sponsor a particular student for an entire school year.
HAITIANS IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Mercy International recently discovered a community of Haitians residing in the Dominican Republic, facing deplorable living conditions. Despite the Dominican Republic's relative affluence compared to Haiti, these Haitian residents endure even more challenging circumstances than their neighbors in Haiti. They have limited access to essential resources such as healthcare and basic human needs, demanding immediate attention. In response, Mercy International has initiated a series of mission trips to the Dominican Republic, assembling dedicated teams to bring much-needed relief and support to those experiencing hardship. We invite compassionate individuals to join us on our upcoming missionary trips to the Dominican Republic, as we strive to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Contact us and request information about the next trip today!
SUPPORT OUR MEDICAL CLINICS
Healthcare is not accessible to most Haitians, and therefore it is a critical need. Mercy International operates two medical clinics, in the Deye Mon and Gressier Villages. These clinics provide free healthcare and medication to those in need of medical attention.
Join us in making healthcare accessible and improving the quality of life in these areas of the world. Your donation to our Medical Clinics is a lifeline for those in need.
FAMILY SUPPORT
We are committed to assisting particularly vulnerable families, including widows and those facing economic hardships.
In this category, we extend our care and support to ensure that these families can access essential resources, services, and emotional assistance during challenging times.
Your contributions empower us to offer financial aid, access to education, healthcare, and various forms of support that can significantly impact the well-being of these families.
OUR RESPONSE
Jesus commands in Matthew 28:19 to go and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them God’s Word. Mercy International employs indigenous pastors in Gressier, Deye Mon and Tozia, and supports them in their “Great Commission” efforts.
The pastors play a pivotal role in shepherding their communities, providing leadership in both spiritual and day to day concerns. They’re just as likely to be resolving disputes between neighbors or helping to source medical care as they are to preach a sermon or help a believer who is wrestling with a tough question. The church offers a safe place for young people to gather and worship, for women to fellowship and study God’s word, and for men to grow into godly leaders for their families. Building around the local church is at the heart of Mercy International’s ministry.
THE POWER OF EDUCATION
Education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it's a catalyst for change. It empowers young students, enables them with skills, and instills self-confidence, enabling them to break free from poverty.
By sponsoring a student, you're not only investing in their education but also in their dreams, aspirations, and the well-being of their entire family.

WHERE NEEDED MOST
The heart of our mission is to provide essential aid and assistance where it's needed most. This financial category is dedicated to addressing urgent and immediate needs within our organization and the communities we serve around the world.
By contributing towards the area of greatest need category, you enable us to respond swiftly to unforeseen challenges, crises, and emerging opportunities.
Your support also allows us to allocate resources where they can have the most significant impact, whether it's providing relief in times of disaster, strengthening ongoing programs, or addressing unmet needs in our communities.
Together, we can make a difference, ensuring that help reaches those who need it the most when they need it the most.
