Don’t Despise The Small Things

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. Psalm 103:1, 6

In our last post we reported that we had 52 Child Sponsorships. That was on June 20.

Today, just three short days later, we are happy to report the number has jumped to 67!

Now we only have 13 left to meet our goal of sending 80 children to school this year! Thank you for your prayers and support. We are praising God!

Perhaps you feel that you aren’t financially able to support a child this year or that your gift wouldn’t be substantial enough.

Here’s a story that will hopefully change your mind:

A little 5-year-old boy has been learning more about the needs in Haiti recently. His parents have simply led him in prayer for the Haitians and shared practical ways to help them and therefore share the love of Christ.

Over time, this little 5-year-old boy began saving up pennies. He now has a little bag of pennies to give towards helping those needier that himself. Not only is this a wonderful learning experience for a boy at a young age, it also goes toward helping to feed and disciple other small boys and girls in Haiti.

God does not despise the small offering!

“Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:1-4
