There’s nothing quite like being a part of a team, especially a mission team to Haiti. I’ve been on many teams growing up, and they’ve all played special roles in my life. But being a part of the teams to serve in Haiti have impacted me in a profound way.
I remember gearing up for my first trip. Dr. John tried explaining what we would see, what we would be doing, what to expect. He did a great job preparing me, but I think every team member agrees nothing can quite describe the experience. You have to see it, smell it, and experience it and then you really understand and are touched.
More than that, it’s an opportunity to serve; to give of oneself for another.
