Tomorrow, most of our team will travel to the Merci’ de Dieu (Thanks to God) Village for a two-week trip in Haiti.
We are very happy to report that, at this time, we are just shy of having 100 children sponsored. God is so good and we are so grateful! Even last night, several more children were sponsored. Perhaps a few more this evening will get us to 100 children before we leave early tomorrow morning!
While in Haiti, in addition to registering the children for school, we will also be purchasing their school clothes and supplies, teaching evening Bible studies, and gathering pertinent information and photos for all 63 families and each of the almost 200 children in the village. We also hope to visit other Mercy International projects, including the Bois Cochan school.
Please pray that God will give grace and protection for the entire team, and that He will encourage and bless the Haitians we encounter. We hope to update a few times while we are down there, but Internet is not readily available.
Ultimately, we desire to minister to the families in the Merci’ de Dieu (Thanks to God) Village and all the others we encounter on our two-week trip. Please join us in praying that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and that our actions will clearly demonstrate the love of Christ.
