Lemonade For Haiti

HaitiLemonadeStand

Last year, Presley raised $300 by selling lemonade for Haiti and asking for donations from her family and friends. She used that money to give her Haitian friend Tueslyne a full year of schooling, a backpack, uniform, school shoes, books and quality dental care.

A simple action like selling lemonade at a lemonade stand is a great way to teach our children (or grandchildren or nieces or nephews or cousins or any other kids we get to hang out with) about the needs in a country like Haiti and about making sacrifices to help other children and families.

This year, Presley is at it again. She is calling all of her friends — and indeed ALL young friends across the country — to have a lemonade stand for Haiti.

It wouldn’t surprise us if God chooses to use Presley and other little children to raise the funds for Tueslyne and the remaining 13 students in the Merci’ de Dieu (“Thanks to God”) Village who currently are unsponsored for school this next year.

We are calling this campaign, “Lemonade for Haiti” and ask you to join us in the effort! Set up a Lemonade Stand and post it to Facebook or Instagram tagging us (@MercyInternational on Facebook and @MercyInternationalHaiti on Instagram) with #Lemonade4Haiti hashtag. We will feature your posted photo and share it with Presley. We will also share it with Tueslyne and some of her friends when we visit them in the village in June!

Join Presley and sell a cup of lemonade for Tueslyne and her friends in Haiti.
